Mark Upton was born and grew up in Michigan and fell in love with the Keweenaw while attending Michigan Technological University. After a 30 year career in homebuilding and development, he and his wife Barbara retired in the Copper Country. Photography has always been part of Mark’s life, having his first 620 film box camera at age 8 and first 35mm Argus C3 at age 10 and Darkroom at age 12. With the love of Photography and the backdrop of the Keweenaw Mark’s main focus in local scenery, wildlife and nature.
