Class Schedule - Fall 2025
Unleash your creativity – Make a stained glass mosaic mirror or plaque to enjoy for years to come – No experience needed!
> Prepared 10” x 10” wood base with mirror or plaque provided.
> Lots of glass in cool to vibrant colors to choose from.
> Materials, supplies, and tool use included.
> Pattern ideas to select from, or design your own.
Come play with stained glass – Learn and practice traditional glass cutting and mosaic techniques. Instruction includes:
> Composition, mosaic techniques, pattern and template making, and glass working safety.
> Scoring and fracturing stained glass with traditional glass cutters, using various pliers, abrasive stone shaping, and grinding if needed.
> Using a wheeled mosaic nipper to shape tesserae and cullet pieces.
> Selection and use of adhesives, grouts, and sealing for stained glass mosaic pieces.

> Mosaic Mirror class is two sessions; the first 3 hours, the second 2 hours, approximately. Class size minimum 2 persons, maximum 6.
> Class fee $50 / Materials, supplies, tool use fee $25 / Total payment $75 prior to start of 1st session.

The “Fine Print:” Wear closed shoes with socks, NO sandals please! Bring your own safety glasses or you may borrow a pair. Long pants are a good idea. If desired, bring a beverage in a closed-top bottle or cup. Plan to have fun! To sign up for this class contact me at:

Intermediate Stained Glass Class
Instructor: Christine Porter, CCAA member
Options for the more experienced glass artist:
Tiffany method or traditional lead method for a window piece (approx. 25-35 pieces, or more if you are ready and will be working more outside of class time), or
A mosaic frame, tray, window piece, or small tabletop, or
Lead wrapping or foil method for small items like suncatchers, candle holders, night lights, boxes, etc., possibly making multiple items as your skills and time allow.
6 session* class, 2½-3 hours each Minimum of 2, maximum of 4 persons
Tool sharing (cutters, various pliers, grids, layout strips, etc.) as available during class time included (students who have their own hand tools are encouraged to bring them).
Two glass grinders, Cutters Mate and strip cutter are set up and available to share.
