“There are always two people in every picture: the photographer and the viewer”
I am guided by these words of Ansel Adams when he said “There are always two people in every picture: the photographer and the viewer” and “Twelve significant photographs in any one year is a good crop.
I have taken many photographs over the years. When I retired in 2010, I started to get more serious about my photography. Today my photographic interests include landscape, wildlife, lighthouses, portraits, street photography and an occasional wedding. Bird photography is a recent endeavor. Capturing birds in flight is very challenging and requires a whole new skill set.
I have attended various photography workshops and seminars including one sponsored by National Geographic magazine. I also enjoy participating in field trips with professional photographers in Michigan and in Florida. On two occasions I have led photowalks as part of the Kelby Worldwide Photowalk®.
My wife, Linda, and I split our time between Eagle River, MI and Naples, FL.
